On another sake adventure during my stay in Niigata. This time, I went to a Sake Brewery, and spent a fascinating time delving into the art of sake production.
The Japanese Tour was complimentary, but I opted for the English Tour, which required a fee of ¥400. It was well worth it, as the guide explained the sake-making process with great clarity and detail in English.👍
To further immerse myself in the world of sake, I indulged in a Sake Tasting Session for 30 minutes, priced at a mere ¥1000. During this time, I had the opportunity to sample a delightful variety of 15 different types of sake, including their signature offerings. It was a wobbly experience, but I managed to keep my balance despite feeling a bit woozy. Oh, the dizzying delights of sake!🤣
Before bidding farewell to the brewery, I couldn't resist treating myself to a Sake Soft Cream (¥400)🍦. This creamy and sweet soft serve ice cream was infused with the unmistakable essence of sake. Its chillness provided a welcome respite from the scorching heat of the day.
Visiting Imayotsukasa Sake Brewery was an enlightening and enjoyable experience, offering a glimpse into the intricate world of sake production.
