My girlfriend had a small craving for beef (cause her boyfriend couldn't take any), so armed with her we search for some good Japanese place for some beef. Casually walking past this small outdoor joint, and see a fair bit of Japanese grilling their meat, we decided to give it a try. They dropped their price from a $100 to $50, and we were like "hey why not!" Let me start with the service, their service staff are slow, and because we are on the outside, it's hard to get hold of any (if the staff are lingering around). Most of them hide inside the restaurant. They cannot seemed to get our ordered right, and numerous times leaving out plenty that we asked for. Now when it comes to the 1st ordering, they forcefully want you to take their pre-set plates of mixture of meat (in which we argued with the waiting staff). Honestly we are here for the beef, but they insisted that we have to take the other types of meat as well. Anyways, we won this small battle (citing many reasonable argumentative points). The meat that came out where inconsistent with every plating served, obviously they mix various type marbling beef together. And the Wagyu marbling they served weren't impressive. The only saving grace was probably the plate of ox tongue (cause you can never go wrong with it). BUT I have to stress my disappointment. They controlled the number of plating served to each table. (We only have 3 servings). The staff simply wave off as it was the last plate left. Honestly? For a buffet joint? A big NO-NO. We demanded a proper explanation, and thankfully a nicer staff explained that they have a low supply of ox tongue, and that they have to control the supply that are going out. Unhappy, but unable to do anything since he was sincere and nice. Go if you want to have a cheap Japanese BBQ buffet, or else don't bothered cause I am sure there are way better ones around.
