There aren't many great lor mee stalls any more so I was surprised at how long it took me to discover Lorong Ah Soo Lor Mee which is tucked in one corner of Hainanese Village FC.
Each bowl of lor mee is topped with slices of ngoh hiong and fish cake, and shredded duck meat. The gravy is not as rich or robust as their competitors. It may however be the relative lightness of their gravy that allows the combination of their noodles, ingredients and gravy to shine without any component overwhelming the other.
I think this easily ranks within my top 5 if not, top 3 lor mees in Singapore!
