While I canโt wait for Japan borders to open, I am so glad that I can still feast on a good Japanese fare in SG!
I recently checked out @yayoisg , a Japanese restaurant that offers an extensive array of Japanese dishes at pocket-friendly prices.
Hereโs what we tried:

Great recommendation by the staff as it was so comforting to slurp on the warm and hearty Tonkotsu broth!

Pork loin with wasabi miso on magnolia leaf. The presentation of the dish was so on point here! Meat was slightly tough and I personally feel the wasabi flavor was too strong for my liking.

Grilled squid served with shio kosho and teriyaki sauce. Like the presentation and this is a great side dish for sharing!

Scallops and butter simmered in wafu sauce. The flavors were great here but the portion was a little small.

I like it that all Zen comes with free flow rice, Ebi Tempura, Salmon Sashimi, Green Salad and Pickles!
Despite the affordability of its offerings, @yayoisg doesnโt compromise on the quality of their ingredients and they make sure that every dish is executed carefully. They have multiple outlets across Singapore so do hit them up for a satisfying Japanese meal!
