First tried this @ Ryu's few weeks ago and Dad wasn't with us; decided to order a portion for him and I think we would have to bring him to Ryu's the next time.
Jinzakaya' rendition used red beans instead of the brown sugar syrup. It wasn't as smooth and soft as Ryu's; passing off sadly as rigid normal jelly.
Couldn't help but think "only when you tasted something mediocre, will you realise the good stuff".

Behind it the nondescript bowl of mango pudding (complementary) was gr8. Smooth and milky just the way I would love it- with a citrus dressing that gave a refreshing twist to the usual yellow fruit pudding.
