1-for-1 with #burpplebeyond!

This little shop tucked away on level 3 of lucky plaza has only 3 but relatively popular items on the menu, featuring mango-based desserts with homemade soft serves.

Between the 2 that we had, I preferred the Mango Halo Halo which consists of a classic mango soft serve, and a myriad of colorful toppings such as lychee jelly, coconut jelly, pearls, Nata de coco, lychee and mango pops, mango chunks and cheese bits! While the soft serve was really smooth and not overwhelmingly sweet, it felt a little weird to have bitten into cheese chunks in a sweet dessert. Nevertheless, the mango chunks were really sweet, and that’s credited to the use of real mangoes from Thailand without any artificial flavours and colourings. The owner taught us to add some condensed milk, to enjoy the dessert like how the Filipinos who would.

However, the Mango Graham Overload wasn’t my kind of thing. Perhaps more savoury, there was cheese and crushed graham crackers. The mango ice cream was still frozen and we kept biting into ice. I didn’t quite like the cheese chunks in it again, but I welcomed the sweet mango chunks. Got a little jelak at the end.

Thanks to #burpplebeyond, each dessert with such generous amounts of toppings and portion l cost only $2.50! I can’t tell you how worthwhile it was, but I know it just got even sweeter.
