A popular Brazilian dessert made of egg yolk, sugar and ground coconut. Brazil, a former Portuguese colony, has strong Portuguese influence in its cuisine. Malacca, in Malaysia, was also colonised by the Portuguese and for this same reason, this dessert tasted so familiar! It reminded me of Portuguese egg tart but the addition of coconut made it also taste like kaya (coconut jam)!
