We were there to try out their brunch menu and had the Fourth of July Cheese Burger ($26) and Tiger Prawn Capellini ($28).

The former was a classic American style cheese burger made with a USDA beef patty sandwiched between house made brioche buns with accompanying ingredients such as streaky bacon and chipotle coleslaw to cut through the richness, and a side of fries and salad. Unfortunately, the beef patty was overdone that day which resulted in a dry texture but it was just a minor setback from an otherwise comforting burger. The latter was an angle hair pasta cooked in a secret prawn stock with additions of prawn head oil to create an umami and slurp-worthy pasta dish. Tiger prawns were huge and the dish came with cherry tomatoes to add a touch of sweetness and herbs for the freshness.

Desserts were the Yuzu Tart ($13), a refreshing and boozy bake with yuzu gin compote and cream, Champagne Ispahan ($16) with a lychee raspberry compote and champagne jelly made from Moët & Chandon, and the soon-to-be-discontinued Strawberry Cheese Croissant ($7.50) made with Japanese ichigo strawberries.
