Not too many places where you can find this traditional deep fried snack from Fuzhou. This stall is located at Jalan Besar Berseh Food Center. Be prepared to wait up to 30 minutes but you be given a buzzer to inform you when your order is ready.
I ordered the upsized version for $2.80 (normal $2.30). It came packed full of minced pork, yam, one large oyster the size of my thumb, two shrimps, chives and peanuts. If you like chilli, go for theirs which is somewhere between sweet and savoury. But remember to eat the oyster cake while itβs hot. It does not taste greasy and the juices from the ingredients packed into the snack comes oozing out of every bite.
Some say the Maxwell stall serves the best oyster cake in Singapore. I beg to differ. This is the one for me.
