My mom always bought angkueh from fresh market in the morning when I was young. In Singapore it can be easily found in Bengawan Solo. However, since I tried Ji Xiang angku kueh, I’m amazed by how soft & chewy the skin was made. Although you keep it till night, the skin is not harden. It’s easily become my go-to angku kueh.

They have many flavours: salted bean, coconut, sweet bean, peanut, corn, yam. My fave goes to a default sweet bean. Although typically I lean towards salty flavour but their salted bean is mix with a bit pepperish taste. Not to my liking.

The bright rainbow colours brings joy and pleasant to the eyes. Priced at $0.90, except yam $1 each. Good things in life doesn’t necessarily be expensive.
