What a pleasant surprise! A flavour I would usually avoid as I don’t fancy yoghurt, LUNA Patisserie’s Honey Yoghurt Walnut ($9) really delivered. The intricate entremet was incredibly tangy and refreshing; serving as a great dessert option even after a rather heavy meal. Essentially a Pâte à Choux filled with bright lemon curd and crunchy roasted walnut bits enveloped in a light yoghurt mousse, pebble sprayed shell, and topped with a golden chocolate honeycomb piece. The zesty curd was nicely balanced with the floral-like sweetness of the honey which I believe was soaked in by the choux as well as the delicate sourish tang of the yoghurt layer. Hence, I think the best way to enjoy the combination of flavours is to get a bit of all the elements in every single forkful. Though my only qualm is how the layer of mousse encased on the outside was a tad stiff and would separate from the puff as you slice further into it.
