Apart from the usual classic sets with chicken wing, chicken drumstick, you can also choose to customize your own plate of nasi lemak with the wide variety of dishes available. I had mine customized with a total of 4 ingredients as shown, at a pocket friendly pricing of only $5.30. Had initially wanted to try the chicken rendang but was told it was only available on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Nevertheless, I had no regrets trying the other dishes available which surpassed my expectations, especially the butterfly pea rice that was so fragrant and flavourful, I polished off the entire portion. The salted egg chicken retained a crisp battered exterior while encasing tender, juicy meat within, drizzled generously with a creamy savoury salted egg sauce that came with a distinctive, aromatic note and a slight tinge of spiciness from the curry leaves. The sunny side up was perfectly shaped with a vibrant orange yolk that was semi solidified while the achar added a pleasant refreshing crunch along with its characteristic tangy tinge of spiciness. The fish otah was not too bad, a pretty huge portion as compared to the typical ones out there, soft and delicate though I would personally prefer if it was spicier. On the downside, the sambal chilli was too sweet for my liking (regretted asking for more 😅) though it was still a mandatory companion to the nasi lemak. Wouldn’t mind coming here often if only the location was more accessible, given the quality and pricing of food. Time to check out the chicken rendang on my next visit ☺️ .
Thanks to @dance.apple.dance for the great recommendation! XD .
