For the coffee drinkers, you'd have heard or been to this cosy Japanese roastery/cafe located at the far west, but going there is definitely worth every minute of travelling.
On one side of the building, you have the main roastery factory, while in the other, a double-story zen space for you to relax and have a cuppa.
As you enter, you'd be directed up to the second floor for your coffee or tea orders. Choose from a variety of filter coffee options, or espresso or tea for your caffeine dose.
We ordered the filter - Uganda Bugisu ($7.50) which has a medium body, with sweet hints of raisins & brown sugar before a wine-like aftertaste which lingers. We also had their Kyoto Uji Hojicha ($8) which has a perfectly nutty body, with a slight bitter ending which we surprisingly enjoyed and a creamy finish.
Apart from serving drinks, they also sell both filter & espresso beans which are for sale on their racks. Defo a cosy space to pop by if you're in the area/work in the west for that afternoon cuppa.
