The rice really made all the difference for me.

Tucked away in a quiet corner at Fortune Centre level 3, Gyosen is a gem of a find - offering up both a premium Omakase menu and crowd-pleasing ala carte dishes. Totally diggin’ my order of Gyosen Sashimi Rice Bowl ($25.90), I love the flavoured rice which was seasoned with tobiko, truffle, and Sakura-ebi. A lovely array of sashimi and torched slices, the Scallops, Salmon, Tuna, Amberjack, Seabream, sweet Uni, and briny Ikura were also fresh-tasting. Just right, the portion was good for one in my opinion (maybe not so much for big-eaters). And I really really enjoyed how the umami and slightly earthy bed of rice added that oomph to the freshness of the proteins.
