Honestly speaking, I’ve never been a fan of ceviche as not many do it well, with the fishy taste or smell of the raw fish 🐟 being too overpowering. However, this vegetarian rendition at @lasalsasingapore eased my worries as raw fish is omitted but tasted equally delightful as an appetizer! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This Ceviche de Vegetales ($15++) features a good mix of pinto beans, roasted corn 🌽, avocado 🥑, smoked bell peppers & tomatoes 🍅 in a verde marinade. Loved how the guacamole added a nice creamy texture to the crunchy vegetables 💚, with the slightly earthy & nutty aroma of soft pinto beans feeling my mouth after the burst of natural sweetness from the veg. 😋😋😋

The verde marinade lends a slight herby flavour & I’m guessing green chillies/peppers 🌶 were used too as it contains quite some heat that will might get your tongue on fire. 🔥 However, this also really worked well in whetting my appetite for the upcoming dishes! 🤤🤤🤤

A little squeeze of lime juice added a tangy zest, uplifting it into an absolutely refreshing starter. 👍🏻 Certainly scored well on presentation & layering of textures - pretty enjoyable! 💕
