It was enough to soothe my groaning tummy.

Another under the radar stall in town. Managed by an elderly couple. Old uncle does the chopping and aunty takes the orders. Light and fluffy rice with a soft hint of chickadee fragrance. Tender chicken with a fall off the bone texture. Splashed with savory light soya sauce. Skin with a gentle glisten, not very oily. It was smooth, soft, melty and gelatonous. Collagen screaming loudly.." eat me eat me and your skin will go boink boink." Chilli sauce is not very spicy but it had a nice tangy finish.

This stall is tucked in an inconspicuous corner of the kopitiam... literally. One wont notice it is there unless there is a queue because the stall is quite small. A very very decent plate of hainanese chicken rice. Michelin stars and bib gourmand aside, I am all for supporting the ordinary stalls run by our pioneers.
