Was craving for Bak Kut Teh so here we are at Kedai Makanan Ah Soon. I'm a fan of Malaysia Bak Kut Teh as it was more toward the herbal side rather than Singapore peppery style so I may be a bit bias.😊
I'm not sure about the individual pricing but the total amount is RM 48 and here are what we had.😋
A 2 pax worth of charcoal claypot Bak Kut Teh, a bowl of dough fritter, a bowl of preserved mustard green, two plain rice and two Teh Bing.
Ahh... Tastisfying moment in the bright sunny morning.😌
Easy to chew yet firm pork rib and pork belly that carries a light porky stench infused with herby sweetness from the savoury clean and clear broth. The broth was fantastic. The charcoal aroma can be smelled too. Soup comes with button mushroom in it.😍
Dough fritter was more toward the lighter and fluffy side rather than the crispy side. It was pillowy soft. Taste wise pretty standard but when soaked up the soup essence, it taste so addictive.🥰
Preserved mustard green was sourish than salty, clean tasting as in they really wash it real good to create this pleasant tasting green.
Teh Bing was normal. Not too watery nor too sweet.
