Finally got the chance to try out this dim sum spot that’s not only popular with the locals but also attracts a fair share of Singaporeans. We arrived around 7:20 AM, just 20 minutes after opening, cause to avoid the crowd, you know one lah. Though we were early, some of the dim sum items were still being prepared. As we ate, the place gradually filled up, and by the time we left, a small crowd had gathered. So, if you prefer a quieter breakfast experience, I’d say arriving early is peaceful, though some dim sum might not be ready yet.

We started with a teapot of Xiang Pian Tea (RM 6) for that classic yum cha experience. If you’re sharing, they charge RM 0.60 per extra cup, and hot water refills are available.

There are three sections to queue from: steamed buns, steamed dim sum, and deep-fried items. Each has its own snaking queue, and you simply hand them your table number. They’ve modernised the ordering system with tablets, moving away from the traditional pen and paper.

Big Bun (RM 6.50)
A massive, fluffy bun stuffed generously with meat. It’s legit big and can be quite filling.

Red Bean Bun (RM 2.80)
A classic sweet red bean paste stuffed in a soft, white fluffy bun, a simple but traditional favourite.

Chicken Glutinous Rice (RM 6.50)
Fragrant, sticky, with moist, flavourful chicken adding a perfect sweet-savoury balance.

Cheese Prawn Ball (RM 8)
These are not bright red lychee. These are crispy prawn balls filled with gooey cheese, and the prawn itself is bouncy and fresh.

Banana Prawn Roll (RM 8.80)
A unique combo of natural banana sweetness paired with prawn inside a crispy roll. Fruity and savoury, it’s not to be missed.

Seafood Dumpling (RM 7.80)
A big dumpling packed with succulent prawns, served piping hot and bursting with flavour.

Fish Maw Prawn Paste (RM 8.80)
A large ball of succulent prawn paste wrapped with fish maw. It's saucy, savoury, and quite satisfying.
