Randomly found this soba shop near the hostel I’m staying and mum decided to go in.

As it was a really small eatery, the chef was very personalised in his service. Oh, ask for the English menu and just point to him what you want! :)

She ordered a Chicken Udon (¥580) and I had a Okinawa Soba (¥480). It didn’t take long for the noodles to be cooked and the chef didn’t just pass it to us over the counter, but personally brought it to our seats.

The soup was really good. One of the best soba soup I’ve had, that mum and I gulped down everything.

Chicken from Chicken Udon was so-so, nothing fantastic, but the pork in the Okinawa Soba... oh gosh. Although the fatty area looks... fatty.. as I personally don’t like fatty meat, it didn’t taste fatty at all and was really fragrant. I enjoyed savouring every bite of it.

The only sad part was... there was only 1 piece of the pork (I reckon its Agu Pork, Okinawa’s own specialty) and the handmade (I think) noodles were a tad hard. Would have appreciate softer noodles. But can’t complain, it was good enough.

Just saw on the website (https://www.plat-okinawa.jp/shop/jurian/) that it is possible to order the Okinawa Soba with more pieces of meat. Def would do that the next time!
