The wanton mee-holic in me traipsed all the way to Hong Lim. ◾◾
Not the old school version. It is wanton noodle but with black sauce mixed in to give that rice dark appearance. Noodles were very aldente, alittle chewy. Charsiew was a tad over sweet and absolutely no fats😂. No charredness. Some might like this for its absence of melty fats and burnt edges which is considered "healthy". Added braised chicken which was, I felt, tasted better than the charsiew. Tender meat that falls off the bone. I can forgo the black burnt bits but would definitely appreciate alittle charsiew fattyness for the tender softlike texture.

Overall, it is a decent bowl of wanton noodle even tho it didnt have that old fashioned old school flavor. This stall seems quite popular as customers were neverending.
