For the Mackerel Roll, there was none of the unpleasant fishiness as they countered the flavour by pairing it with the mint-tasting Shiso leaf. It also felt substantial in my opinion as the bite had a good ratio of the lightly seared saba fish to rice. The crisp nori adding that umami factor to the already tangy-savoury combination as well.
