Besides their salad or salmon/grilled fish, pasta is always my top choice whenever I patronise Swensens. ⭐ It might not be overwhelmingly good but so far it had not disappointed me before - springy spaghetti tossed in wholesome sauces & with generous amount of ingredients. ✔

This time, I tried something from their seasonal special - THAI Curry Pasta! 🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭 Featuring spaghetti tossed in luscious Thai curry sauce, fragrant curry leaves, topped with 2 huge fried kind prawns, this plate unfortunately promised more than it delivered. 😔
.
The sauce tasted a bit like Thai green curry but carries stronger flavours of fresh basil, which I was not a fan of. For $17.90, I expected the plate to encompass more ingredients but nope, it was just the 2 lonely King Prawns that sat atop the pasta gracefully. Quite a letdown when I was trying to dig beyond these 2 prawns & the heap of pasta🍝 to find none.
.
The king prawns 🦐🦐, albeit not having super a lot of flesh either, was pretty tender & juicy, which I felt was the saving grace of this dish. Well-fried & aromatic! 💕
.
Suggest you stick to their normal menu though! I personally prefer their Crayfish Pasta, Seafood Arrabiata Pasta, or even their Black Pepper Seafood pasta, where I feel there are way more variety of ingredients & are less ‘jelak’ despite being equally rich in flavours. 👍🏻
