Chomp chomp food centre is a good place to get your favourite hawker food cravings settled! The Hokkien Mee ($4) I ordered came with 3 prawns and quite a few slices of squid. The wetness of the hokkien mee is just right, though it would have been better if there was a stronger wok hei taste to it.
On the other hand, the Fried Carrot Cake ($3) was amazing with the strong smoky flavour it had, and they were generous with the portion and the amount of sweet sauce they used.
The chicken wings ($1.30 each) were barbecued almost perfectly, the sweetness of the glaze used was just right, but they were a tad too oily.
Head to the place at around 6-7pm on weekdays and sit outside at the umbrella benches to avoid the crowd and the smoky smell that lingers on your clothes!
