But where is the flame? Well, I was torn between showing beef on fire or the actual dish after flambed. So I got to thinking, most would post the fabulous flame so this post is the aftermath which highlights the actual dish.

Structured looking like a mini volcano with the egg yolk ready to burst and flow like the golden lava. It was a slow beautiful flow. Beef was sliced thinly. After being flambed, it is caramelised and lightly charred leaving a tinge of wokheish flavor. Toss, mix and tumble all and one gets a comfortable bowl of beef donburi.

Currently there is a promo on till Feb, rice bowls are going at $11.90. Original cost for this flaming hokkaido beef bowl is $23.90. Very reasonable and generous portions of beef.

I left the restaurant quite satisfied. Thank you Mr Lee, CEO & owner of @thebutcherskitchensg for the impromptu mini tasting session of the item that is not on the menu yet. Thank you for sharing your life stories on how The Butcher's Kitchen was conceptualised.
