There are two styles of egg tarts available here - one with pastry skin and the other with cookie skin. Both are filled with the same custard made with eggs and butter. The pastry skin was sold out and made do with their cookie skin which was firm with a nice buttery fragrance. The custard was not as good as expected.
The bolo bao has a nice crisp with some sweetness on the exterior but I find the inside a little dry for my liking. I got mine with luncheon meat to add some flavour to it. Other options such as kaya or butter are also available.
