I have had a soft spot for Peruvian food since my grad trip to Peru 10 years ago. I love how they accentuate the natural flavours of their fresh seafood with strong, bold flavours.

It's hard getting Peruvian food here but Tono Cevicheria has done well to quell my appetite for Peruvian food.

I love their signature ceviche tono which features fresh market fish with crispy baby calamari, purple potato mash and smoked aji amarillo tiger's milk. The fruity and berry like flavour of the smoked aji amarillo and the citrus-based tiger milk marinade really brought out the mild, slightly sweet and nutty flavours of the fresh calamari.

This is a must-order if you ever visit Tono Cevicheria.
