Not only is Dukes famous for their brunch, they roast their own beans daily - single origin and house blend. Tried a latte and I really love it. Full of flavor. They also offer an impressive selection of sweets and sandwiches of which I tried - shredded coconut & banana cake and rose custard with raspberry lychee jam doughnut.
Runny poached eggs paired with appetizing cider vinegar hollandaise and garnished with stripped apple stacked on top of a crispy yet tender pork croquette. A dish well executed ππ
HONEY CANDIED BACONβΌοΈ Yup, you saw that right! When I saw it on the menu, I added an extra portion right away without even having to try it. I mean honey and bacon..... What could go wrong? And I'm glad to say that IT WAS SO GOOD!!! Reminded me of bak gua on the first bite, but even better. This was like the highlight of the dish. The Avocado Hummus, smooth and buttery complimented the crunchiness of the toast and Dukkah. The Poached Eggs were beautifully runny as well, topped with healthy greens and juicy, fragrant mushrooms. This dish is just perfectly executed.
So pretty!!Shall cafe-hop as much as I can before I return! Will definitely miss the cheap and aromatic coffee in Melbourne!! ππ’
Coffee stop 3 - Duke Coffee Roasters - good sized cafe with a cool vibe. Good to rest the tired legs from shopping on Chapel street. Food looks decent but I'm honestly too stuffed to eat.
