(Rating: 3.5/5🌟) Super buttery & crumbly crust and rich milky (less eggy) custard was not bad. The crust wasn’t hard or overly greasy! I still prefer Foo Hing Puchong’s egg tart with flaky pastry & eggy custard. And that’s more like a Portuguese type tho
I can see why this is a hit. Light and custardy filling with hints of cheese, like the Hokkaido cheese tarts, this is quite good. My only gripe is I found it a tad too sweet for me. I would have liked it more if the sugar levels were tweaked down a little.
Somehow this Vietnamese meatballs banh mi caught my eye and we decided to give it a shot. It was certainly spicy and punchy and we devoured it in seconds. The baguette could have been a tad more crispy but then again I'm being unfair, with Hoi An and it's amazing banh mis still lingering in my mind.
