This stall is known for its Hokkien mee, but that received mixed reviews among the Tastemakers. Instead, it's the Oyster Omelette ($3) that was more memorable for them. Tastemaker Ice Blossom loves how the oysters were sufficiently plump and juicy, as well as the lightly crisp yet wobbly texture of the starch and egg batter. The accompanying chilli is a tad sweet, yet spicy and aromatic. Moreover, it's a steal at $3 โ perfect for end-month budgets, as Tastemaker Julius Lim so rightly says!
Avg Price: $5 per person

Cheng Ji Chao Xia Mian Hao Jian - ๆ่ฎฐ็่พ้ข่็ (#01-59) only sells two dishes, Hokkien Prawn Noodles and Oyster Omelette. Both were as popular amongst the foodies at Seah Im Food Centre. And I can now see why.
The oysters were relatively plump and bouncy. My favourite part has to be that stir-fried starch mixed with egg batter. The light crisp and soft wobbly consistency is my delightful indulgence. Moreover, I love dipping every single bite in that tad sweet but spicy aromatic chilli sauce. ๐
