Butcher's Daughter (Weekend Brunch)

$14.00 · 18 Reviews

No stranger to Easties, this popular joint located on the second floor of Tampines West CC is heralded for consistent, quality brunch offerings. Visit on the weekends for the tried and tested Butcher's Daughter ($16) – excellent medium rare seared sous vide beef alongside creamy scrambled eggs. For something light, the Dashi Noodles ($8.90) in a bonito broth with pulled chicken and onsen egg should do the trick. Get the aromatic Muddy Espresso ($5.50) with cold milk to finish.

Found the cut of steak to be more on the fattier and chewier side though! Scrambled eggs were kind of lumpy and didn't have the silky smooth texture desired and it seems to me that they always over-season their eggs here with salt 😂

Decked out in warm and cosy feels, this popular Muslim-owned spot in Tampines makes a mean breakfast! The Butcher's Daughter ($16) is what you're here for — an excellent medium rare cut with creamy eggs and a side salad. On coffee, the Muddy Espresso ($5.50) with cold milk does the job for hot, humid mornings.

昨天在去參加青年峰會慶功會之前先到附近的咖啡廳吃早午餐💞 Their Builder's Breakfast is pretty good, but the Butcher's Daughter cooked to medium rare wasn't to our liking. Perhaps medium well/ well done would be more suitable for brunch 🙈

Saw this dish many times so had to try it. It's brunch with a sousvide steak. Enough reason for me to test it out.

Didn't like the scrambled eggs as much as it's watery. Overall the dish is value for money.

Note the lowest doneness you can order here is medium rare.

They do not accept credit card here, so be prepared to pay via nets or cash.

With exposed ceilings and long wooden benches, this Muslim-owned cafe in Tampines West Community Club is an industrial chic hangout perfect for dinners or weekend brunches. The space is owned by the same guys behind Penny University, so you can expect good food and coffee — bonus points for their friendly staff! A generous piece of seared sous vide steak served with fluffy scrambled eggs and crispy fries, the Butcher's Daughter ($14) is without a doubt one of the stars on their brunch menu (available 9am-5pm on weekends). Another winner is the Peanut Butter Jelly Toast ($10), which sandwiches peanut butter, homemade summer berries compote and sliced bananas among two slices of toasted fresh brioche — simple but good! At dinner, consider the Kelantan Roasted Chicken ($16) glazed with spicy coconut cream. Sip on the Spiked Muddy Espresso ($6.50) that comes sweetened with gula Melaka, or the Jaffa Orange Mocha ($6), which sports a lovely citrusy brightness amidst the earthy notes of the coffee and chocolate.
