Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup ($17.90)
.
Lunch with a piping hot bowl of Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup at K-Tower! Delicious broth with half a chicken simmering in a hot-stone pot. The chicken meat was tender and did not have that dried up overcooked taste and the soup was just pure comfort in this weather. There was also the usual freeflow sides which included kimchi and marinated pork ribs (not refillable)! We also tried the basic 3-tier seafood tower which was quite decently priced at $58 for 2-3pax, sad part was that their prawns supply had not arrived so they replaced it with a slab of Halibut fish which all of us really enjoyed! At least we know the seafood arrives fresh daily.

#mytingkatisbetterthanyours. lol. if you ask me, come only when you are gunning for at least a 7 tier seafood for a party of 8; more bang for your bucks. otherwise, no doubt i enjoy the fish but price seems steep for a "lower tier" seafood. ha. #justsaying.
When feeling cold, and everyone wanted to have something hot.
3-Tier Seafood Tower (S$58)
Upgraded to Ginseng Chicken (S$20)
Accompanied with K-Tower Platter (S$9.90)

Served with free flow sauces, pickled radish and kimchi.
Was surprised by the sweetness of the purple sweet potato. So sweet.

3.5 munchies: Back at this fresh-from-tank seafood specialty restaurant and ordered the Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup for the second time, the broth is slow-cooked with premium-grade Korean ginseng, chicken, red dates, garlic, and scallion for at least 3 hours. I liked the subtlety of the ginseng flavour, which, fortunately, did not overpower the whole dish with its earthy, bitter taste. Definitely nourishing and comforting for the soul!
Other Korean main-stays such as the Korean Ginseng Soup ($17.9), Seafood Pancake ($14.9) & Fried Chicken Wings ($7.9) are also available. We ended tonite's Din Din with this Trilogy Rice Cakes with Honey ($5.9); white's got cheese in it, purple's sweet potato & yellow's pumpkin.

Interesting thing; beneath the tower is the last stack consisting of (by default) Seafood Soup Base which proceeds to gather all the essence from the Seafood steaming whilst the latter remains moist + juicy gosh what kind of sorcery is that! I gather it must be the ultimate freshness of the Seafood coupled with carefully controlled steaming time + temperature ba...

The Ginseng Chicken Soup ($17.90) is perfect for even those who dislike a strong ginseng taste, as the herbal taste is not very strong. The broth was tasty and comforting to tuck into after a Long day of work. It's also available during lunch @ktowersg in their lunch set (also $17.90)!
Love the slightly foggy looking ginseng soup that was loaded with tender fall of the bone flesh!
At this sleek Korean seafood joint on Amoy Street, you'll be served staggering seafood towers filled with ingredients like scallops, Boston lobsters and even Sri Lankan crab β all stacked on top of a soup broth of your choice (seafood, kimchi, ginseng or army stew (additional $10)). Each table bears its own in-built induction plate which heats the tower and keeps it steaming, allowing the natural flavours of the seafood to flow back down into the broth. Prices start from $58 for a Three-Tier Tower that is good for two to three to share, and go upward to $298 for a feast that would feed a group of eight to 10. We like how the restaurant thoughtfully includes dustbins built into the table for discarding your empty shells. Apart from their signature towers, they also serve Korean dishes like the incredibly flavourful Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup ($17.90) and a fun Shake Shake Rice Box ($9.90) that you have to rattle vigourously to mix all the ingredients!
Avg Price: $30 per person
