Fried Rice (with cheese)

$7.00 · 5 Reviews

Despite the multiple good reviews about this place, we found it so-so only or even below average army stew for its price point :-( Ordered mussel ($13.90/portion) + beef bugolgi ($13.90/portion) + ramen ($3) + fried rice ($5). Mussel wasn’t big nor the freshest and the beef ‘bulgogi’ was such a disappointment. We did not taste any marinated bulgogi flavour and was just normal sliced beef.... (felt q cheated). Portion wasn’t that big as well. Taste-wise, the soup was on the sweeter side and wasn’t very soup-like but felt more like gravy unlike the usual army stews.

Sadly, we could definitely getting an army stew tastier and cheaper with a bigger portion. Only plus point is that fried rice was not bad (but slightly too watery for our liking) and it is halal.

⭐️ 2/5 (pls improve on ur ‘bulgogi’ beef....)

We ordered their Mussel and Beef bulgogi Tteokbokki together with ingredient add ons fried squid ring and egg.

Total: $36.80

Saw others cooking fried rice with the left-over gravy 🤤 Shall try it next time!😋

Finally get to lay my hands on this korea-imported brand budaejjigae. It's a fully customizable budaejjigae. You get to choose your toppings and what goes into the stew. They have the basic ones for you to choose from which include cheese, chicken sausage, beef, mushroom and mussels and you can add on mandu, maggie mee etc. I guess what makes this unique was the cheese, which beautifully thicken the stew and have itself coated around the surrounding ingredients! Delicious good stuff do not just end here. Order a set of fried rice and fry it with the remaining stew. Texture of rice was really superb, with flavors from the stew and lingering with seaweed bits and sweet crunchy corns. What a perfect way to end the meal. Oh, did i mention, the restaurant has got themselves halal certified!

Muskshidonna has opened in Singapore, this first franchise outlet in Singapore is also the first Korean restaurant in Singapore solely specializing on army stew.
There is the option to customize your own pot with 5 different flavors to choose from: Cheese, Mussels, Bulgogi, Sausages and Mushroom.

The basic tteokbokki base is at SFG$13.90 a portion, per pax.

Unlike other army stew base, Mukshidonna’s mild spicy yet sweet signature sauce will thicken as it boils.
Do not forget to leave some sauce in your pot for the fried rice if you do order.

This leftover thick gravy will be use to fry the sizzling fried rice which contains sweet corn and seaweed. For cheese lovers, choose the fried rice with cheese.

Really eggggcited that this Tteokbokki chain is now here in Singapore! Newly opened at E!Avenue near E!Hub Downtown East, they have an opening promotion - 4pax for the price of 3pax! For $13.90 per pax, you can have a choice between Cheese, Mussels, Bulgogi or Mushrooms Tteokbokki that contains the main ingredient chosen, ham and veggies. You can do add-ons like dumplings, egg, noodles, etc.. Slightly soupy as compared to the one I've had in Korea, but can't complain!

Do a fried-rice add-on afterwards at $5, or opt for the fried rice with cheese at $7. They will empty out the excess soup/sauce and use the necessary amount for the fried rice. And trust me, it's really guuuud :p (though a little soupy, give them some time to brush up on their skills)
