Yes, Zam Zam may feel like one of those "tourist trap" places that get by on past reputation, but I assure you their ๐บ๐๐๐๐ผ๐ป ๐บ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ธ is good as ever.

The skin was fluffy with a bit of crisp, which perfectly wrapped around the stunningly flavourful filling. The mutton was juicy and exploded with umami, with a tasteful injection of gameyness that blended harmoniously with the spices and the sharpness from the onions. Some places get it too dry or too oily, but this had just the perfect amount.

The mutton murtabak was brilliant. Though the fried rice was less satisfying (despite having tender beef embedded)
Serving great indian-muslim cuisine since more than 100years ago. Zam zamโs murtabak is thumbs-up good! Crispy skin with no excess oil, together w overflowing minced mutton and chopped onion. Even a large seems too small for our appetites.

After a #Pokรฉmon raid in Botanic Garden, we were craving for Murtabak. Unwilling to waste calories without full satisfaction. Even there is one Murtabak place in Newton food center, we decided to take the trip all the way to Bugis. ๐
.
We found ourselves right in Kampong Glam and here we were at "Singapore Zam Zam", the Institution of Murtabak since 1908 (no outlets other than this original one). We ordered "mutton murtabak" (highly recommended) medium size $8.50 & fish masala plus Teh Tarik & Teh-C. It cost us in total $15. Very wallet friendly & scrumptious meal in SG! ๐๐๐
.
Murtabak is not greasy like other places we tried. The murtabak skin is crisp & lathered with minced mutton. You can order 1 to share for 2 persons but we regret doing so.
Definitely recommend to order fish masala along to get a kick-ass spicy level to the max! The cucumber & ketchup shall be gone though. However, surely this won't be our last visit!! ๐

didnt get to eat their prata cause they dont serve them on friday and the weekends :( the mutton murtabak didnt disappoint thou!
Since it was founded in 1908, Zam Zam has pretty much stood stoic and unaffected to the comings and goings in the Arab Street enclave, while feeding quite a few generations of diners! Along with family routines and tradition, what keeps regulars coming back are its massive murtabaks. The Mutton Murtabak (from $6 for a substantial small portion) is a favourite, but there are also other protein variations including chicken, sardine and beef โ just be sure to share! Burpple Tastemaker Sheryl Lyx loves how "it's stuffed with meat and beautifully pan-fried to a crisp". The accompanying curry further elevates the dish with its punchy flavours. Sit downstairs to soak in the buzz and watch the nimble-fingered roti prata men do their thing, or head upstairs to chill out in space and air-conditioned comforts.
Avg Price: $10 per person
