Green Tea PopGelato
Half dipped in premium dark chocolate
Pistachio PopGelato
Half dipped in premium dark chocolate and topped with chopped pistachio toppings
Smooth and soft popsicle thats easy to bite on. PopBar claims to use only natural ingredients for their popsicles and handmade fresh daily. The bar feels a little too slim for the price paid but it's the quality that we are paying for.
// Bought this at 1-For-1 via the Entertainer app for $6.40
Rudolph my deer, would you like the Hazelnut PopGelato half dipped with premium dark choc coated with chopped hazelnuts or Green Tea PopGelato half dipped with premium dark choc? Both are my favourites at Popbar ๐
I feel like I've found a new favourite sweet treat: $5.80 for a gelato/yogurt popsicle (there's sorbet too) + a 50ยข charge for UNLIMITED toppings and chocolate dip (e.g. hazelnuts, chocolate rice or even fun stuff like caramel dark chocolate sauce so go crazy)!!!! The gelato here isn't extremely sweet, and I don't feel super guilty afterwards either. Here's an enjoyable green tea gelato pop with dark chocolate mint drizzle and almonds, as well as a TRIPLE-DIPPED dark chocolate yogurt pop with coconut and almonds ๐
Get your cool on at this New York popsicle franchaise, which recently set up shop in the basement of Plaza Singapura (it's beside Awfully Chocolate). These popsicles are made fresh daily and free of preservatives and additives, and come in an array of gelato and sorbet flavours โ yogurtPops and gelatoPops are $5.40 each, while sorbetPops are $4.90 each. The main draw is having unlimited dips ($0.50) and toppings ($0.50) โ then again, you can only stick so much on one popsicle! If you're not quite sure what to order, Burpple Tastemaker Xing Wei Chua suggests getting the Green Tea popGelato ($5.40), dipped in milk chocolate and topped with chopped almonds.
Avg Price: $5 per person

Popbar is a newly-opened Popsicle stand at Plaza Singapura B2, beside Awfully Chocolate. Serving a variety of Popsicle bars with a variety of gelato and sorbet flavours, the main catch here is that you could order your Popsicle with unlimited dips and toppings for a flat rate of 50 cents each (toppings and dips as deprecate categories). If you love Magnum, you should probably go for the gelato Popsicles and go for the option to add dips (they have a variety of 7 to choose from, all of which are different types of chocolate!). The milk chocolate gives a crunch and sweetness very similar to Magnum itself, and the green tea aroma is pretty evident and carries enough flavorful to balance off with the chocolate (it wouldn't be fair to compare this against the one from the pop up stall at Takashimaya Food Hall or Matchaya). I have also added almonds to mine for a little crunchiness on the gelato as well. A little bit of a splurge at $6.40 ($5.40 without both toppings and dips), but it's actually of decent quality for the price if you decide to give up the cash.
