Woah! This bowl of broccoli was really beyond my expectation! The broccoli was torched to crisp. Together with the parmasan cheese and papadom sprinkled on top, which added an extra point to the dish itself. Recommended 👍🏼

Lightly torched broccoli with white balsamic vinegar, bits of papadum and 红糖 at the side, yes, you read correctly, 红糖, the red sugar they use for putu mayam!

The juxtaposition of sweet and sour is heavenly.
Broccolis IMO damn hard to hip siong + edit one, 'cos the flowery part is too dark a green while the stalks, too pale. Gao bu hao the final shot will look very er xin one!

I didn't see anyone ordering this but still decide to go for it as I have seen rave reviews of this salad. The broccoli salad was very interesting with different savoury notes. It would taste different when you add the red sugar by the side of the plate. The only issue I had was the dish felt a little too oily to me. This is definitely not something to order if you want something healthy or light tasting. Best when shared with 1 or 2 other people! #BurppleXChope
I read rave reviews about this cafe from another food app which lead me there. With much anticipation, we ordered 5 dishes including some of the "must-try" recommended.
Half-way, my friend found a piece of eggshell on the meat. We informed the waiter and did not pursue that matter. They did not offer any apology. We continued eating. The prices of the food are so expensive, so we tried to finish even though the food wasn't tasty. To our horror, we found a weird-looking thing inside another dish. I took a photo to enlarge it as it was too tiny to identify; the thing looked like an insect!
Immediately we showed the waiter. The restaurant staff came back with the thing rolled back & fro between his fingers. He said "that"was broccoli floret which they used the same oil to fry with the sweet potatoes. I showed him the enlarged photo; he continued to claim it's broccoli & it's edible. We couldn't believe him & just stared at him. Alarmingly, he actually said "so what do you expect from me?" We are all shocked by his attitude & response. Seriously I have no idea why there are diners who wrote such rave reviews about them. As F&B outlet, hygiene is the upmost priority. Secondly, you should treat customers with respect if you want to keep them. What a letdown for a place highly recommended in some food blogs/instagram etc!
