There was just one slice left of their Grasshopper pie, chocolate crunch and mint, it would be wrong to leave it there. The filling was delicious but the pastry wasn’t that crunchy and was a little bland.

Dont worry, its not the insect itself but its actually a tart consisting of a light green layer of mint cream that is refreshingly sweet with a strong menthol aroma.
This is on top of a layer of chocolate mousse and dark chocolate followed by a crunchy tart base below.
Finally, crumbly dark chocolate cookies form the crown of the tart to provide an appetising crunch.

We had the Hazelnut & Ginger Cream, the Pistachio & Pear, and Grasshopper (not new but still no.1 in my heart). We definitely weren't disappointed; they were all well-balanced and fork-and-plate-licking-good (my dad scraped the plate clean). Will be back to try the other 2 new flavours!

All I can say after trying Windowsill Pies is that it was love at first bite. I've always wanted to visit their old place but never found the chance to, so I'm really glad they've moved to my fave hangout place, Upper Thompson!

My fave has to be The Grasshopper. Mint and chocolate is my recipe for a happy belly. But that doesn't mean I'm not gonna try the rest of their pies, heheh so I'll be back! Probably more often, and with more family and friends too.

We see the same brown bear, but can be a little ulu as what their slogan is: In The Woods. Cozy ambience with good service and natural sunlight!

Grasshopper (SGD 7.50) - Minty chocolate with salted cookie crumbs. The filling was light and not overwhelming and I loved the brownies embedded within the filling.
