My love for instant noodles is never ending. This bowl of budae jjigae has a nice mix of vegetables, dumplings, rice cakes and pork slices. I wish there were more rice cakes as I can't get enough of it!
Above all, the mild spiciness (probably because im immuned to spicy food) of the soup is awesome.

Toppoki with fried bacon and egg. Quite pricey for $7.90. Toppoki was soft but chewy, not such a fan. Bacon bits didn't add anything to the dish. Had this with the army stew. The spiciness numbed all the taste. The quesadilla saved the meal, overly sweet but provided a cheesy respite from the heat.
2.5 munchies: While I appreciate that the hotteok itself wasn't too sweet, the tasteless black sesame paste on the base and mediocre vanilla ice cream didn't quite complement the dish. I'd recommend other Γ la carte items like the spicy pork quesadilla and army stew.
Unlike traditional Korean family restaurants, which serve this "army stew" in huge hotpots for sharing among 3 to 4 persons, the portion here is sized just right for one. The soup is less spicy than most others I've tried, but it's got a thicker (but not starchy) consistency that I like. They're generous with the ingredients too, which include pork belly, pork dumplings, sausages and rice cakes.
In most places, army stew comes as a huge pot that most of the time I can only finish it with 2/3 more girl friends. So it's quite cool that they have 1 person portions at Sync for $12.90. I believe Sync is opened by samsung since it's on top of the samsung customer service store. It is not bad though it could be more flavourful. You definitely can taste gochujang & kimchi in the stock but would be nicer if it had a slight meaty taste.

This re-make of our all time favourite is sure to satisfy your craving, anytime! [Jajangmyeon] the simplest type of food which blew us away! Not on the menu yet though. Look out for it on the menu soon! You won't regret!ππ
