Ganjang Chicken

$15.90 · 2 Reviews

Anyway, I wasn't a fan and neither do I fathom the fad.
But when I heard the good folks from Stateland and Honeycomb are behind @chickandken, I tell myself I die die must try!

They have their Chicks done 3 ways: Ganjang Chicken(front); Korean style fried chicken coated with home made soy glaze.
Salted Egg Yolk Chicken(left); the name says it all, fried chicken coated with salted egg yolk cream and served with fresh chilli.
Yangnyeom Chicken(right); Korean style fried chicken, coated with sweet and spicy yangnyeom sauce and served with toasted peanuts.

The mains comes in 8 or 12 pieces but... What if you can't decide which to have but then ordering all 3 (which is minimum 24 pieces) seems like a lot?!? Here's where their Korean fried chicken set lunches come to the rescue! Available from 12 pm to 2.30 pm from Mondays to Friday's, it comes with 4 chicken pieces, sides (rice / fries/ truffle fries) and a homemade iced tea! Oh... And jus' sayin', LOL, this is my first attempt at a completely blackout background for a food pic! [Chick and Ken

There are 3 types of Fried Chicken available here: Yangnyeom (with gochujiang, garlic and rice syrup), Ganjang (soy sauce, garlic and mirin) and Salted Egg Chicken (salted egg yolk, evaporated milk, chilli and curry leaves). It is priced at $15.90 for 8 pieces, and $29.90 for 16 pieces. I personally prefer the Ganjang chicken more, as it is crispy and has the right amount of soy sauce.
