Their noodles are handmade. I really like their Pork Chop especially the end or side bits. Yum!
The soup was quite flavourful because of the pork chop even though it was cooked separately and was most probably just added in before serving.
RM14.20 for 6 pieces and RM22.60 for 10 pieces.
Maybe it just wasn't my day. The skin of the dumpling was dry. When I bit into it, there was very little soup in it.
Bright side: The fillings inside were quite flavourful and the meat was tender.
Well, they really were mini. It was sooooo small.
One basket contains 3 pieces. Honestly, I'm not sure if it was this small before or they have changed their portions. But you could really taste the egg yolk, it wasn't the powdery type and it was nice, but it was just really small.
The delights of a piping-hot, steamed dumpling go a long way to uplift your day. Enter Din Tai Fung, KL's best bet for delicious dumplings. Whereas a visit to their Gardens Mall outlet will guarantee a queue, ordering in will get you lunch in your pajamas in under an hour! Set the tone for a warm, dependable meal with the restaurant's claim to fame, Pork Xiao Long Bao (from RM13.20). Six parcels filled with tasty broth and minced pork present themselves gracefully in a paper container and if you're already thinking about the complementary vinegar and sliced ginger, fret not because the restaurant has pre-packed sachets for takeaway orders. The Pork Chop Fried Rice (RM22) warrants an order to fill your tummy with egg-laden rice with juicy, tender pork chops. Burppler Kae Ling is a fan, and describes it to be 'simply awesome'. If there is room for more, order the moreish Spicy Shrimp & Pork Wonton (RM18.60) too!
