love love love the dan gui duck here 🤤 tender and super tasty gravy. assam fish and xo french bean were amazing too! fav place for chi comfort food 🤍 get their membership for a really good deal~

Nicely fried cod fish. Was a bit pricey though.. but cod fish has never been cheap.

Price:$40

Wine taste was not too overpowering yet flavourful. Would recommend this dish 👍🏻

very special veg dish, the sauce was sour due to the lime yet very refreshing. 👍🏻

Taste of the wheatgrass was not distinct, drenched in a starchy sauce with mini pieces of prawns and veg. nothing to shout about for this dish.

Very thick and strong herbal taste, some parts of the duck was rather skinny though. Dian Xiao Er was said to get advice from the JB shop called 鸭王, tried both and they were indeed very similar.

Get the duck. Seriously. Outshines everything else. With the exception of the wine chicken - get that too.

Cost: $7.90, Small
Description: Nicely coated w salted egg sauce. Both pumpkin and lotus roots are crispy. Deep fried 👍🏻

Cost: $12.20, Small
Place: Vivo City, #02-137/138

Description: Has a thick flavour for the herbal. Is a comforting herbs taste that will leave a good aroma in your mouth.
That you will finish the herbal soup :)

Look at that blended yolk.. This white lotus with egg yolk had FOUR egg yolks blended in the core, so be sure to cut through the golden crust to reveal a rich, flavorful egg yolk equally shaved across the mooncake. They also serve the mooncake with roasted melon seed which is lower in sugar, so it should be able to suit the older folks.
🔸
This box came with two melon roasted seed and two white lotus with egg yolk. It's available till 24 Sep at all Dian Xiao Er Outlets islandwide.

Always liked their duck but with the promo it means more motivation to eat it! Crispy skin and super flavourful duck from the herbs, which I ended up eating as well ( which @apolishedgeek gave me weird looks for) 😋 The homemade wheatgrass tofu was really good too! What I loved abt @dianxiaoersg is their home-styled dishes that will not kill your wallet! #Burpple #burpplesg #dianxiaoer #psyduck

Biting through the crispy skin and into the soft and succulent duck was an unforgettable experience. The smell and taste of the delicious herbs blankets the duck in rich flavour and seduces your tastebuds. Promptly finished the rest of the half duck with my mate.

The herb taste from the duck is 😱 but the soup really sucks. No offense tho.

Not sure if it is because of the different branch(thus different chefs) that I visited. The fish slices were overcooked, roasted duck was very dry and clumps of cornstarch were found in the vegetable gravy. 🤔🤔 why ah.
Still, a affordable and fast meal to have here, with the gorgeous scenic sunset view!#DianXiaoEr #RoastedDuck #ChineseFood #VivoCity

The ribs were well cooked so they tore off quite easily from their bones, but overall there wasn't much kick as the sauce was not spicy enough!

Pillows of deep fried pumpkin and crispy lotus chips coated in salted egg sauce sounds promising doesn't it? A pity they seemed to have modified the usual salted egg sauce with the addition of something sweet and milky (condensed milk maybe?), which resulted in a taste that didn't sit quite right with me.

I really need to stop having takeaways cause my pictures are hideous :( Anyway, Dian Xiao Er is a good option if you're in need of a quick fix of good old comforting flavours. The dishes we always order are the Angelica Duck, which is very tender roast duck drenched in a fragrant, bittersweet (甘甜 pls pardon me) sauce - the restaurant will help to debone the duck at your request :), wheatgrass tofu (you can only see the mass of veggies that came with it from the picture) that is really delicate and smooth and made in-house, and the Dong Po pork belly which may be a tad inconsistent because we've had amazing, melty ones with THE perfect sauce but also not-so-amazing ones that needed more stewing. Other dishes I like include the claypot crocodile meat that is a tad salty but packed with umami, and the cereal prawns, which are aromatic, buttery and rich but not oily at all.

This is one of their (relatively) new dishes and it's my 2nd time having it. Thinly sliced lotus root and chunks of pumpkin battered and deep fried to a crisp, then coated in a luscious, creamy salted egg yolk and butter sauce. If you love salted egg butter crabs, you'll love this! This time we took away so the pumpkin was a little soggy, but it's reeeeeally good if you dine in like sensible patrons (haha)!

Crisp on the outside, silky within! One of the six recommendations on my blog 😊
