Okay, the char Siew look like this... I still prefer our version at home, any Chinatown version could beat this easily.
A closed up look at the fried chicken drumstick .. Drooling again ..
U gotta eat this! The coconut rice is so fluffy and aromatic. I'm telling you, the deep fried chicken drumstick is da bomb! Tender in the middle encrusted by a crisp batter shell.. Speechless.. "The famous golden-shoe market's version" came alive!
A closed up of the meat portion.. Oh, the garlic "chicken-rice" chili reminds me Singapore. I'd wish I'm back home.
I love the stringy egg noodles to bits. I hate soggy noodles and this one has a good bite in each strands. The chicken meat is tender not fibrous while the Char Siew pork (BBQ Pork) has a decent flavor = average. I coupled the meat with rice on my previous visit and the portion was generous, packed in deep onion and chicken broth accent. But the egg noodles is a better choice.
Go for the chendol, somewhat coconutty though they could intensify the flavor to impress me.
