Boon Kee Dessert

I was seated near Boon Kee's stall in Tanjong Pagar Plaza market and was drawn to their myriad of offerings.

You don't usually find peach gum desserts in hawker stalls as it is a slightly pricier ingredient. Peach gum is the resin from peach and wild Chinese peach trees and is prized for its collagen and amino acid content. I love the soft, gummy and mochi-like texture of peach gum and it is great in cheng tng.

Boon Kee serves a good rendition which is packed full of ingredients such as dried logan. It's a little more expensive compared to the standard offerings but well worth it!
