Under $30. Came with small salad and miso soup. The wagyu beef was tender and juicy. The rice portion was generous.
Small outlet with just 12 seats, which is fine as there is only one employee (chef cum receptionist cum waiter cum cashier cum washer). We had the Premium Assorted Seafood Kaisendon at $24.80++. It is at most average - the rice lacks fragrance and is not sticky, and the seafood is not the freshest, especially the uni. The signature Dashi Soup isnβt too dashing. I would go back only if forced at gunpoint.
The aburi process appeared to have imbued the normally flaccid squid with some vim and vigour, while elsewhere the other seared cuts were oily good fun. 3.8/5
P.S. This was $18!
We stumbled upon this while looking for a place to have a quick meal in Wisma.
I must say that I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the meal given that it's $35 for 2! Seating is limited but if there's space, I suggest you snuck in for a try.
One for one deal on their anniversary don in August! The 7 toppings include otoro, tuna, urchin, negitoro, salmon, broiled salmon and salmon roe. Quality and freshness is definitely there, very worth its value! They were all so fresh that I didnβt even dip it with shoyu. Also comes with dashi (clear soup) that tastes like salmon broth - pleasant blend with the don. Worth a try!
Bonta Special Don Set (S$18.80++) Available during dinner at @JapanFoodTown in @WismaAtria
