With several outlets across Singapore, this chain serves up delicious fritters, especially helpful when the coffeeshop they're located in at the Lavender area is known as a beer drinking place.

Ingredients are freshly fried to order, I especially like their hand made fish cake with its bouncy texture and mild sweet savoury flavour, and the juicy tender 5 spice roll with meaty earthy savoury sweet salty flavour.

The prawn cracker fritters are crisp with a lovely savoury salty shrimpy flavour, and the soft water chestnut cakes have nice vegetal earthy sweet flavour. The fried bee hoon / vermicelli noodles is pretty good too.

The chili is addictive, thick enough to coat the ingredients, sharp and spicy enough to make you crave more. And the pickled radish helps.

An individual small portion costs $7, and it came in a small half-filled claypot. Nonetheless, the portion of frog was generous and the meat very tender. My only complaint is that the sauce is too sweet, but then I don't have a very high tolerance for sweet things so to each his own!

Signature Pasta - Laksa Pasta, $10.90. Newly open western stall at Bistro 8 at Foch Road!! Something different and unique. The laksa taste is very strong, really feels like eating a bowl of laksa but instead of thick bee hoon with gravy, it’s pasta and dry version! Don’t be deceived by its color, it’s actually a little spicy🌶. For that price, it also come with a generous huge clay fish and lots of fish cake! Another Fusion and modern creation! .
