Went in as it looked relatively empty at 11.45am on a Saturday but still had to wait ~45mins for the food to arrive. Thankfully, food came delicious and pipping hot.
Ordered the Gyu Teriyaki ($18++) lunch set and it came with rice and soup (was informed that they no longer served fruit). Meat was perfectly medium rare as requested and sooo juicy. My only gripe is that the meat is on the thin side, but still pretty value for money. There was a thin batter on the beef, and it wasn’t really crispy and got soggy with the salad’s sauce on the side. But it doesn’t really affect the taste too much and still delicious! Requested for the teriyaki sauce on the side, and I’m so glad I did that as I preferred the meat without the sauce.
My partner ordered the Nabeyaki Udon ($18++) and it was delicious as well, served with a fried ebi and salmon on the top. Soup was pipping hot, full of umami and really warming to the soul. Honestly could’t decide which dish I liked better!
I would definitely return again but only go over if you’re prepared to wait! It seemed like many waited for a long time for their food to be served.

You’ll be surprised they do really nice burgers and portions were more than enough. Their beef burgers are served with a complimentary bowl of soup. The beef patty was juicy and thick, goes wonderfully well with the potato buns which were soft and fluffy.

Soooo fragrant, the fried garlic rice left me in awe. One of the best I’ve had in Japanese restaurants, it really did not disappoint. My husband and I really enjoyed this dish and made it to our must-order list at Akashi!

Their Ebi katsu is soooo good! A must-order at Akashi - Golden Brown! A subsidiary of the Akashi Japanese restaurant, they do really good jap fusion burgers!! Look at the meaty ebi fillet! It’s also fried to perfection, super crisp on the outside and substantial inside.
If you're a tamagoyaki fan, you'll adore this! The thick layers of egg were bursting with a strong dashi flavour balanced by a subtle sweetness that kept me wanting more. To level it up even further, the tamagoyaki was deep-fried with panko to provide some exciting variation to its texture.

The best thing is that its firm structural integrity wasn't compromised even when cutting and biting into it!
Tori Teriyaki Hambaga ($11.80) 🍗 8/10
Don't let the fact that it's chicken dissuade you. The thigh meat here was mad succulent and coated generously with a moreish Teriyaki sauce. The dark horse of this burger feast!
Cheese burger ($12.80) 🍔 6/10
This was alright but the beef patty was a little dry and the cheese left me yearning for more. Compared to the other delectable burgers, this one paled in comparison.
Unagi bata roll ($18.80) 🐟 5/10
Sadly the unagi wasn't comprised of great cuts and there was way too much butter in here. If you think the yellowish stuff is mayo -- it's not. Its a heavy-handed slathering of creamy butter! I think this would taste much better if I ate it at the Paragon shop itself.
