Eat where the locals eat - took a chance at this unassuming place where it wasn't crowded nor did we see anyone heading in/ out of the place (ok cos we just wanted to get lunch quick) - turns out it was a good bet. Set in a traditional tatami room which I gave up sitting the proper way preeeetty quickly (sorry). Udon in light, tasty broth; tempura was so lightly battered served with a dash of salt without distracting from the original taste of the eggplant/ capsicums/ pumpkin/ lotus root. Silky smooth tofu (thank goodness we didn't drink whatever it came in - apparently it is just to keep the tofu warm😂) in a dip, simple yet flavorful. My favorite tho, is definitely the eggy goodness from the multi-layered teenytiny tamago !
