Settled for 2nd best, which was really fine as all - the Grand Poona, which was a toasted baguette stuffed with lots and LOTS of deliciously tender 6hr braised beef pulled and sautΓ©ed in jus. Very generous portion of pork slices roasted in a tasty marinade, buried in rice noodles tossed in fish sauce and topped with a mix of veggies, peanuts and crispy shallots. We would've liked it to be served hot though...it was served really quickly so I'm kinda wondering if it was all pre-made. It was a filling and yummy bowl nonetheless! #burpple
Honey ice cream was sandwiched between two slices of shortcake, which was delightfully crumbly and balanced out the sweetness of the pineapple compote, finished off with a tangy citrus curd. The meat was succulent and tender, sandwiched between juicy layers of fat that was not healthy at all, but we'd gladly surrender our diets for. The stewed mandarin oranges exploded with a tangy sweetness that complemented the sticky, thick coating on the ribs. #burpple #burpproved
