Even though didn't get to eat the Ferrero flavoured Icecream with the toast bc they ran out of it, i'm glad the chocolate icecream tastes rather good too! I feel the toast had too much butter inside but overall it tastes rather good too!
The waffles are good but they are not the best in Singapore. Earl grey lavender ice cream, however, is perfect imo. We tried the dark chocolate praline tart and it was yumz | earl grey lavender ice cream x waffles $11.80; dark chocolate praline tart $7.80
This is one of the place worth trying if you are craving for Shibuya honey brick toast. Small cubes of toast placed with the hollowed toast, all of which are crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. It comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, greek yogurt dip and fresh strawberries. The sugar-coated toast might get overly sweet after a few bites so it's best to share it with a group of friends.
Heard that the maker of awesome waffles from Strangers' Reunion had moved on to Assembly Coffee, so came down to try it out. Verdict: unimpressive. Waffle batter was light and fluffy but lacked the aroma of freshly-made waffles -- strange because the cafe smelled wonderful but the waffle itself didn't. The salted caramel sauce and ice cream tasted like generic off-the-shelf stuff -- just didn't do it for me. And they ran out of beans so I couldn't have a cup of V60, which just made me grumpy...
I like my crepes soft, delicate and paper-thin so, sadly, the slightly stiff ones here didn't impress; they should have have been about half their thickness.
That said, they did have a lovely colour on them and the spotlight was very much hogged by the artisanal yuzu-infused butter, which was all sorts of deliciousness in aroma, texture and taste.
Buttery Danish pastry served hot! I love how the cold soft serve melts against the pastry in my mouth. Good to share for 2 đ
finally got to try the much-raved singapore's best blackforest cake!!! gotta love its strong alcoholic taste with a special crust beneath which adds a nice texture. yumsss! this is a real good slice that comes w a hefty price tag tho haha the cheapo in me says it's not value for money lol so I better learn how to bake blackforest cake instead đ #burpple

4 munchies: My picks are the CrÚme Brûlée Tart and Triple Chocolate Devil amongst the wide selection of delicate, handmade cakes and pastries. Besides the crÚme brûlée custard that was smooth and creamy, the puff pastry was buttery and had a slight crisp to it. I also loved the hint of sourness from the layer of raspberry filling that balances the richness of the Valrhona chocolate, Baileys chocolate and hazelnut praline with a digestive base.
4.5 munchies: I'd order everything on the table again, albeit the slightly overdone poached eggs: Brioche French Toast with Caramelised Bananas & Bacon, Watermelon & Raw Snapper Salad, Peanut Butter Jelly Milkshake, and Pacific Benedict.
It takes a lot of willpower to resist ordering everything at Lady M â everything looks SO GOOD. With their newest and largest outlet finally open in Orchard Central, their Signature Mille Crepes ($9/slice) are more accessible than ever. Think "20 silky sheets of handmade crepes alternated with pastry cream, with a golden, caramelised top. Melt-in-the-mouth goodness", as described by Burpple Tastemaker Rachel Xie. Be sure to try the seasonal Green Tea Mille Crepes ($9) and the Orchard Central Boutique-exclusive Chocolate Mille Crepes ($9) when you get the chance.
Not only it looked pretty and Instagram-worthy, it tasted good as well. The sweetness from the Gula Melaka and saltiness hint from the Sea Sat blended in well together and loved the creamy and smooth texture.
