For sponge cake lovers, as the cake was 90% sponge, with a chocolate sponge and melted chocolate between two layers of plain sponge. The sponge cake was pretty dense but slightly sweetened, not too sweet when eaten together with the cream layered outside.

Super delicious burger, one of the better beef burgers I have had in Singapore. The burger had a thick beef patty that was juicy and flavorful, topped with crispy bacon, cheese, truffle sauce and a sunny side up egg. The whole burger was so flavorful and delicious, with the fragrance from the truffle sauce, cheese slice, and the crunchy salty bacon, and the soft and creamy egg. I really enjoyed it, together with the crispy curly fries on the side. They were generous with the portion of fries as well. Super worth it with burpple beyond!

Affordable price for the quality. I enjoyed the fried chicken which was crispy, nicely marinated, while the chicken thigh was tender and juicy. They also chopped the chicken into bite size pieces so that it would be easier to eat. The waffles were decent, with a crispy exterior and soft interior. With the SCS butter and maple syrup provided at the side, the waffle was fragrant and a good complement to the fried savory chicken. The waiting time was a while for ours, though I saw that other tables got their food pretty quickly.

Worth with burpple beyond! The rocky road soft serve shake was not chocolate based, but tasted like raspberry and marshmallows. It was not too overly sweet, with a nice sweet flavor coming from the raspberry syrup (?) and vanilla soft serve they used. The shake was really well blended, so smooth without any icy bits. It was topped with whipped cream and some mini marshmallows. The cold brew soft serve was really smooth and creamy, and the coffee flavor was pretty intense but just right for a coffee lover like me. It was not too sweet as well and definitely a good dessert. The seating area was comfortable and spacious. Portion was good for sharing.

Worth with the burpple beyond deal! Ambience was nice, relaxing for a catch up. The don was served piping hot as it was just torched. Overall I really enjoyed this bowl. Starting from the white rice, though wasn’t seasoned with any vinegar or sauce, was soft and warm, well-accompanied by the tender and fresh salmon slices. The salmon was topped with mentaiko and torched. They were generous with the mentaiko sauce as there was a good ratio of mentaiko to salmon to rice. There were also small cubes of cucumber which added a nice crunchy bite. Would return if I am in the area!

Set was worth it compared to ordering each item separately. The iced white used a light roast bean and the flavor was fruity. It was slightly sour as well. The koughaman was warmed up but not toasted, hence it wasn’t very crispy or flaky. It was more like a bread which was softer and less flaky, which was also good! Flavor was not too sweet, and was nicely sweet and caramelised.

My first try at this popular shop is definitely very late. Fortunately I managed to try two broths the restaurant had to offer. I got the Xiao La for the Mala Tang, with some vegetables, mushrooms, pork and one maggi. It amounted to $9.6 and was served with a huge bowl of Mala Tang. The soup was very flavorful, not too spicy or numbing for me. The ingredients soaked up the soup well and went really well with the soup. I actually preferred the Pork bone soup surprisingly at it was more rich and creamy and flavorful. I slurped down the remaining soup that my family couldn’t finish, together with the pork which really absorbed the soup broth well. Would return for the pork bone soup next time.

Total bill came up to $13 with burpple beyond! Really worth it with the quality and portion. The ice cream scoops were huge and texture was smooth. Flavors were good too. I had the Milo which was rich in milo flavor with some bits to it. It was really creamy and slightly on the sweeter side but I loved it. The other scoops we got were S’mores, Chocolate and Hojicha which were all not too sweet, flavor was good and the texture was creamy and smooth. We also got one waffle for sharing, which came with a side of maple syrup. The waffle was fragrant and buttery, with a crispy exterior and soft interior. I enjoyed it with the maple syrup.

Super worth it with burpple beyond and absolute quality chocolate! The brownie came with a choice of ice cream, which I chose Earl grey caramel ice cream. The sweetness from the caramel paired well with the aroma of the tea and overall it was so smooth and creamy and not too sweet. The brownie was fudgy and moist, with quality chocolate used, and wasn’t too sweet. One of the best brownies I have had. The s’mores came with the 80% dark chocolate ice cream by default, which was so dark and rich and good. It went really well with the sweeter s’mores which had a layer of cinnamon crunch, chocolate mousse and then topped with the marshmallows which was torched. Overall a super delicious dessert but might be better to share among 3 people.

Got the pistachio (premium +$1) and roasted goma ice cream which were super good as it was creamy, very rich and smooth. However the waffles were underwhelming as it was too airy for my liking and was lacking flavor in terms of buttery fragrance, sweetness and flavor. The maple syrup drizzled was also not enough to add more flavor. Price wise was not very cheap as they also charge service charge on top of the price. Would only return for their ice cream.

Got the mocha and tart pairing for one set and the mocha and brownie pairing for the other set. The tart was made using 72% dark chocolate, with creamy ganache and had a slight salted taste. The tart shell was buttery and chocolately, thin and delicate and not too hard. It was topped with some crumbles which were a cute addition. The brownie was made using 75% dark chocolate, hence it wasn’t too sweet, very moist and soft at the centre and texture was great. It was drizzled with chocolate sauce at the top, making it extra rich in chocolate! The mocha came with beautiful latte arts and in a huge cup! Portion was large, while texture was creamy and smooth and silky, while the flavor was rich and not too sweet due to the espresso shot and dark chocolate they use.

Got the 88% dark chocolate ice cream bar, which comes with a choice of scoop of ice cream and a shot of 88% dark chocolate sauce. I chose matcha ice cream and 80% chocolate ice cream, which were served in a ceramic cup on top of a bed of chocolate cookie crumbs, topped with some shaved chocolate rasps. Thankfully, the shot and the ice creams were not too sweet, only the cookie crumbs were sweeter, but were also super delicious. The crumbs were crunchy and buttery, with some chocolate flavor. Ice cream were smooth and creamy and went well with the dark chocolate shot. Worth with burpple beyond and definitely would return.
