I was pretty intrigued by the end of the flowery description from the in charge who introduced the dish. And there was a lot of steam once out for us to sample. But sadly it was too overwhelming for my tastebuds. I believe it might be due to the previous truffle flavoured noodles, so I didnât fully appreciate this one. And having it for the first time, I went straight for their signature Bara Chirashi Don ($12.80). Located quite prominently and within sight of the mallâs entrance, Sushiro is difficult to miss especially with the long-forming line extending out to the far end of the floor during lunch. Hence not expecting the snaking queue on an early Wednesday afternoon, I was famished by the time I was seated. But of course well-worth the 20-minutes wait, the star of the show - the palm-sized sushi rice bowl piled generously with assorted chunks of seafood saved the day.
Loving the small hill of salmon, tuna, octopus, prawn and shiny ikura pops; the ingredients were all really sweet and firm. Not overpowered by the seasoning and cut into perfect bite-sized cubes for easy consumption, the sashimi used were able to remain their original flavours and I particularly enjoyed the chewy texture of the fresh octopus with a light refreshing hint of lemon. Lending an extra oomph was also a good sprinkle of sesame seeds and sesame oil, giving the entire umami bowl a fragrant finish.
Was never a big fan of the coffee (RM12.90) here (it's not bad; it just tastes like the kind you get from pre-nespresso era coffee machines), so I usually opt for the matcha latte. The green tea flavour could be more intense, but I like that it's unsweetened. You get a shot of syrup, so you can adjust the sweetness level according to your preference.
Most places that sell truffles flavoured food are pretty stingy with it, but not for this place when we dug in. Right from the first mouth, the truffle oil overwhelms you. And the Noodles texture just keeps you slurping for more. Donât forget their Crispy Pork bits ! Crunchy with so much love <3

The Truffle gyu don with onsen egg and premium bara chirashi don looks pretty good and didnât disappoint the moment we started to dig in. The ambience of the location is comforting to the soul, like heading for comfort food and drinks after a long day at work. Suitable for office workers but in this case, the teaching staff from NUS or the hospital, NUH.
